Welcome to Black Yak Adventure – Gilgit-Baltistan’s only native mountaineering agency and tour organizer! Based out of Skardu, we connect the pure passion of the Himalayas with leading expedition logistics, helping you embark on unforgettable adventures through Pakistan’s sublime high peaks of the Karakoram, Himalayas and Hindu Kush ranges.
Our Story
With a profound appreciation of mountains that dates back generations, Black Yak Adventure was born with a view to unveil the immense beauty of Gilgit-Baltistan to the world. The children of high mountains have an unexcelled knowledge and comprehension of high-altitude areas, their respective cultures, and ever-changing weather patterns owing to the very childhood and upbringing spent amidst them. Our local venture has today emerged as a global adventure organizer and guide for leading mountaineers, alpine trekkers and cultural expeditionists in Pakistan.
What We Do
We excel at all-encompassing custom made, deluxe trips, catered for every sort of adventurer:
- High Altitude Mountain Expeditions: All alpine logistic including all fix rope, high altitude support services and B.C. Management for the peaks of 6000 meters, 7000 meters, 8000 meters like K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I and II and Spantik, etc..
- Trek Expeditions: With expert trekkers we take you to the legendary Karakorum treks like K2 Base camp trekking and Gondogoro La Pass trekk and the Snow Lake Hispar La trekking in winter as well as treks like Fairy meadows, Nanga Parbat etc.
- Jeep Safaris/ cultural trekking in Northern Pakistan: Genuine travels to the values of Hunza, Skardu, Shigar, Ghanche and Astore to learn more about the old traditions and cultures, blossom times in the valleys etc.
